A Writer’s Prayer for 2023

As we enter another new year full of possibilities, let’s commit ourselves and our writing to the Lord.

 

Lord, I thank you that as I step into 2023, I know your plan is not to harm me but to prosper me and give me a bright future. As I meditate on your Word and obey your commands, I believe everything I set my hand to do will prosper and come to maturity. Success on my part is only guaranteed according to your specific plan for me. My life as a writer is in your hands.

 

Your Word says I am blessed in the heavenly realm with every spiritual blessing in Christ. I will not falter or fail in the calling you have placed upon me. I thank you for the gifts, talents, and abilities you have given me. May I never take them for granted but use them to bless others and glorify You.

 

Lord, promotion comes from You and in Your perfect timing, You will open doors of opportunity for me that only you can open. My confession for 2023 is that I will continually encounter divine appointments and connections and be surrounded by divine favor wherever I go. May everything I do—my thoughts, my conduct, and especially the words I pen—bring glory and honor to You.

 

In the precious name of Jesus, amen.
