As one who felt God calling me to writ...Great post. As one who felt God calling me to write, I stepped into the writing world as a new would-be author. I attended writing conferences, had some devotions published and even a few stories, but what I learned and struggled with all along was making money for what I wrote. That was my personal stubbling block. What I learned through all of it is that I can still be called by God to write without being compensated and touch the lives of people around me through words of encouragement and scripture through Facebook, etc. Like Cindy's friend said, I believe my writing is meant for the person sitting next to me. God showed me I could write. He gave me encouragment and training through the writing industry, but for now my writing touches the lives of my friends and the people I meet through Facebook.
